Introducing ...
We have outgrown our current space.
Since 2015, TreesLouisville has planted, distributed, and maintained nearly 30,000 trees. We have worked alongside thousands of volunteers, community partners, and supporters to create a healthier and more equitable urban forest.
But we have outgrown our current space.
The Canopy Center will give TreesLouisville ownership and long-term stability over the space where we store and care for trees before planting. It will also provide secure indoor storage for our trucks, tools, and equipment; room to expand our staff; and dedicated space for volunteer trainings and community gatherings.
More space, equipment, and staff will allow us to do more than plant additional trees. Anyone can plant a tree, but growing a healthy canopy takes years of watering, pruning, maintenance, and care.
The Canopy Center will also serve as a hub for advancing Louisville’s Urban Forest Master Plan, bringing partners together, supporting implementation, and expanding the people, programs, and resources needed to move the plan from vision to action.
Our current headquarters at 909 S. Shelby Street will remain home to our administrative and development teams. Together, the two locations will allow TreesLouisville to reach further and accomplish more.
